2nd Eso Second Term Notebook

Here you have an almost perfect notebook to check what is wrong or missing in yours. Thanks to the student that has been so kind to share it with all of us. I hope it helps you prepare the make up exam. NOTEBOOK There is just one tiny mistake in the exercise "how to find the exact points of tangency" that I have corrected in the image below. The point of tangency T1 is the point where both circumferences meet right on the line that conects both centres.

THE STORY BEHIND THE PAINTING

Here you can download some examples of the colour theory outlines. Although they are not perfect they are close to it. They are synthesised and complete at the same time.

Thanks to the pupils that did them for sharing their work with their peers.

The element of colour booklet

Here you can download a booklet with most of the concepts we have studied in class

Guidelines to create the Colour theory scheme or outline

To do an outline or a scheme you have to organize concepts in general ideas. And then develop them, adding definitions and examples or diagrams.
The general idea that involves all concepts is COLOUR THEORY, and you can place it as a Heading.
Then use a key system organizing everything in main ideas (ideas principales)

What is an outline?

Concepts you must include in the Colour theory outline:

Main ideas:
  • What is colour? Why we see it ? Physics (spectrum, white light), chemestry (pigments) and biological aspects.
  • Mixing systems (aditive (lights)  versus subtractive (paints) colour mixing) Better with visual diagrams.
  • Qualities or properties of colour (Hue, value (Tints, shades and tones), saturation)
  • Ways to organize colours through history.  Aristhotheles, newton, munsell. The colour wheel
  • Complementary colour pairs.
  • Thermal ranges (Cool and warm palettes)
  • Understanding colour- What is it used for?
  • Colour harmonies- 6 Types. How should we use them?
You should add visual diagrams and colours in your outline, to do it more visual and attractive.
Remember that in the subtractive colour wheel the primary colour is magenta.( Not red.)

2nd ESO 1st Term notes

You can download these handmade notes that your classmate has gently share with all of us to copy the excercises again (this time well done) and make up your 1st term notebook activity. Remember that you have to do it twice. 1st on the notebook paper (square grid paper) and later on a blank parper, leaving the 4 margins (left, right, top and bottom), paying close attention to accuracy, cleanliness, headings, letters on vertices, and correction of the geometric construction.
Pentagon given the side notes and 2nd option to do it:
